GemaTech’s technology is currently
based upon our proprietary hardware platform the
GTE (GemaTech Technology Engine) which has been designed
to work with traditional Primary Rate Interface connections
or E1s, and banded by BT as ISDN30 in the UK or T1s
in the USA. Consequently, GemaTech’s technology
can be deployed anywhere in the world which uses either
E1s or T1s with any number of different “flavours” of
ISDN30 including DASS II and I421 (also known as Q931
/ ETSI / Euro ISDN).
Despite all of the “hype” surrounding
the alleged benefits of deploying VoIP (Voice over
the Internet Protocol) traditional TDM circuits remain
the most reliable, providing the highest quality
telecommunication circuits in the world and also
providing the highest levels of secure transmission
between the caller and the recipient of the call.
Having said that, GemaTech’s GTE technology
is fully IP enabled and can be used to deploy VoIP
applications at some point in the future when it
is considered appropriate to do so.
Consequently, GemaTech’s products
and services can be deployed in any country which
has a telecommunications infrastructure based upon
ISDN30 technology. GemaTech’s GTE has no moving
parts and a calculated MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure)
of over 350,000 hours – 40 years. A comprehensive
remote diagnostic capability has also been incorporated
into the unit enabling timely access to all software
modules and the ability to provide software upgrades
or fault reports to be remedied remotely over a secure
data connection.
Currently, GemaTech’s technology
has been successfully deployed throughout the UK
and US with GemaTech Partner COLT Telecom deploying
GemaTech’s products and solutions throughout
their European Telecoms Network which currently extends
across 32 different cities in 13 European Countries.
Furthermore GemaTech are currently in dialogue with
a master distributor for South Africa to distribute
GemaTech’s products and services to the two
incumbent carries which both use ISDN30 technology.
